By signing below, you acknowledge that you understand the responsibilities involved in owning a Corgi, including their care, training, and well-being.

You agree that should you ever decide to re-home your Corgi or encounter any issues with their care, Royal Ridge Corgis will be your first point of contact. We are here to assist you in any way possible to ensure the best outcome for both you and your Corgi.

Corgi Club Enrollment:

By completing this application and purchasing a Corgi from us, you automatically enroll in our Corgi Club. This membership grants you access to our 24-hour breeder service program and ongoing care support for the lifetime of your Corgi included in your purchase!

Application Purpose:

This questionnaire is designed to help us ensure a good match between you and your new puppy. We seek to understand your knowledge of the breed and the home environment you will provide.

We want to ensure each Corgi finds a loving and suitable home. Your thoughtful responses and understanding are greatly appreciated.

1. Have you owned a dog before? If not, what knowledge do you have as far as raising a puppy and the challenges you may face?

2. Have you owned a corgi before? If not, what research have you done to understand if this breed is a good fit for your home and lifestyle?

3. If you haven’t owned a corgi before have you owned a herding type breed? Do you know the tendencies that may be a possibility (nipping, heeling, barking, etc.) that can come along with a herding breed at times and how to correctly curb them?

4. What type of living situation and life style do you currently have? (home in town, home in the country, apartment, etc.) Do you understand the exercise the breed requires?

5. Will you continue crate training if it has already started? If not, how will you keep the puppy safe while you’re away? Make sure there’s enough exercise space to avoid long periods in the crate, which can lead to health issues like bladder and kidney

6. Do you have other pets? If so, what are they?

7. Do you have children? Ages? Are they familiar with how to treat a puppy/dog?

8. Do you plan to have the puppy fixed? If so, will you wait until at least 10 months, preferably 18 months, to ensure proper growth and avoid health issues? We understand this may not always be feasible. If not, please explain your plan.

9. Are you purchasing the puppy for yourself? If not, for whom and are they aware of the puppy or the prospect of a puppy?

10. Have you taken the time to research your vet and emergency vets on call in your area and visit with them to properly prepare for your puppies arrival? Do you have any questions/concerns for us?
